Shop Custom Round Metal Tags →Business identification tags don't all have to say the same thing.
ENMECA's 35 mm round anodized aluminum tags can be engraved with a common business design while changing individual information from one tag to the next.
That makes them useful for equipment identification, asset numbering, inventory systems, maintenance programs, rentals, warehouses, schools, clubs, teams, contractors, service businesses, and other organizations that need a simple way to identify physical assets.
Sequential Numbers and Individual Names Are Easy
You don't need to manually create a completely separate design for every numbered tag.
Start with the common layout you want for the set. Then use the Instructions box to tell us which information should change from one tag to the next.
“Please number these tags sequentially from EQ-101 through EQ-125. Keep everything else exactly the same.”
How a Numbered Equipment Tag Order Works
Choose Your Tags
Start with our 35 mm round anodized aluminum tag and choose the options that work for your application.
Create the Common Design
Add the business name, common text, artwork, image, QR code, or other elements that should appear throughout the set.
Tell Us What Changes
Use the Instructions box to specify the numbering sequence, names, IDs, locations, or other information that changes from tag to tag.
We Engrave the Set
The common layout stays consistent while the requested number, name, asset ID, or other information changes across the set.
Numbers, Asset IDs, Names, Locations and More
Your tags can use sequential numbers, nonsequential IDs, equipment names, employee names, departments, locations, or other short identifying information.
What Should I Put in the Instructions Box?
Keep the instructions simple and specific. Tell us which part of your design should stay the same and exactly what information should change.
If your order contains a large list of asset numbers, employee names, equipment IDs, locations, or other unique information that would be cumbersome to enter in the Instructions box, contact us before ordering. We can help determine the easiest way to provide the information.
Create Your Equipment Tag Layout Online
Start on the ENMECA product page, choose the tags you need, and begin customizing your design.
Our online designer lets you create the common layout for your tag set. Depending on your application, your design can include:
If every tag is identical, simply create the design you want and choose the appropriate quantity.
If individual tags need different numbers, names, IDs, or other information, create the common layout first and describe the individual changes in the Instructions box.
Add a QR Code to Your Equipment Tags
A QR code can turn a small physical equipment tag into a link to much more information.
Depending on your application, a QR code could connect to:
If scanning the QR code is important to your application, verify the destination carefully and test the finished code with multiple phones.
Your Artwork Doesn't Have to Look Perfect in the Preview
Have a company logo, equipment symbol, or other image that doesn't look quite right when you upload it?
Send it to us anyway.
When customizing your tag, select “Please review and improve my artwork for engraving” and use the Instructions box to tell us what you'd like changed.

Built for More Than a Temporary Label
Common Uses for Custom Equipment Tags
Identify shop tools, machines, compressors, specialty equipment, and shared assets.
Create consistent asset IDs for equipment used across facilities or departments.
Number equipment so individual assets are easier to identify and track.
Label shared equipment, bags, instruments, classroom assets, or department property.
Identify cases, cables, bags, production equipment, and other mobile assets.
Create matching tags with different member names, numbers, departments, or assignments.
Why Use Engraved Metal Equipment Tags?
A good identification system doesn't need to be complicated. In many applications, the most useful tag is simply one that makes an item easy to identify.
A compact engraved tag can provide an equipment number, owner, department, location, contact information, or QR code without relying on a temporary paper label.
For businesses managing multiple similar tools or assets, consistent numbering can also make it much easier to distinguish one item from another.
