Custom Engraved Stainless Steel Plates for Antique & Restored Tractors
Create a permanent engraved plate documenting the tractor, the restoration, the family farm, or the history behind a machine that means more than its specifications.
Design Your Tractor Plate →Some tractors are more than equipment. They're part of a family, a farm, or a restoration story.
Maybe it's the tractor your grandfather bought new. Maybe it's a machine that worked the same farm for decades. Maybe you found it rusting in a barn and spent years bringing it back to life.
Or maybe it's simply a tractor you love.
ENMECA's custom engraved stainless steel screw-on plates give you a permanent way to document some of that history.
Each plate measures 84 mm × 53 mm—approximately 3.31 × 2.09 inches—and includes four mounting holes for attachment with appropriate screws or rivets.
Tell a Little of Your Tractor's Story
A custom tractor plate can identify the machine, document a restoration, recognize the person who restored it, preserve a family connection, or simply commemorate a tractor you're proud to own.
What Can You Put on Your Tractor Plate?
There is no required manufacturer, model, year, or layout. Start with a blank 84 mm × 53 mm stainless steel plate and decide what part of the tractor's story you want to preserve.
Make It About the Machine—or the People Behind It
A tractor plate can be purely informational.
Or it can commemorate a restoration:
For a family tractor, the plate can go further.
Anderson Family Farm
Three Generations
The plate doesn't have to document only the tractor. It can document why the tractor matters.
Natural Stainless Steel Finish
These plates have a natural stainless steel surface rather than a painted decorative finish.
Light variations, grain patterns, small marks, and other visual inconsistencies can be normal characteristics of the stainless steel rather than defects.
That industrial character feels especially appropriate around antique tractors, farm equipment, restoration projects, garages, workshops, and displays where a permanent piece of metal fits naturally with the machine.
Mount It on the Tractor—or Make It Part of the Display
Antique and restored tractors vary considerably, so there isn't one universal place where a plate should be mounted.
Some owners may choose an appropriate location on the tractor itself. Others may prefer to leave original tractor components untouched and use the engraved plate elsewhere.
Where an appropriate mounting location exists
Alongside photos and restoration information
Display the tractor's details at shows
Make it part of the tractor's equipment
Create a permanent display piece
Identify tractors in a larger collection
Before mounting anything directly to an antique or restored tractor, measure the location carefully and choose a mounting method that won't unnecessarily alter or damage original components.
Create the Plate Your Way
You don't need a professionally prepared design before you begin. There are several ways to create your tractor plate.
Build It With Text
Create a clean plate using the year, manufacturer, model, specifications, family name, farm name, and restoration information.
Create Tractor Artwork With AI
Turn a photograph of your actual tractor into simplified engraving artwork and combine it with the tractor's information.
Upload an Existing Design
Already have tractor artwork, a farm graphic, or another design? Upload it and incorporate it into your plate.
Turn a Photo of Your Actual Tractor Into Engraving Artwork
If you want the plate to show more than text, you can create an illustration based on the actual tractor.
An AI image tool such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot can help turn a clear photograph into simplified black artwork that can then be uploaded into the ENMECA designer.
The key is asking the AI to preserve the tractor's real proportions and identifying features rather than replacing it with a generic tractor.
Using the supplied photograph of my tractor as the reference, create a clean black-and-white illustration optimized for laser engraving on a small 84 mm × 53 mm stainless steel plate. Preserve the recognizable overall proportions and major identifying features of the actual tractor in the reference photograph. Accurately retain the hood, grille, wheels and tires, steering wheel, seat, exhaust stack, major engine shapes, body lines, and other distinctive features that help identify this specific tractor. IMPORTANT: Do not change the tractor into a different manufacturer, model, style, generation, or year. The reference photograph determines exactly what type of tractor should be illustrated. Use bold black shapes and clean lines with generous negative space. Simplify complicated engine and mechanical details so the artwork remains clear when engraved at this small physical size. Simplify wheel and tire details where necessary while preserving the recognizable agricultural tire shape, tread, rims, and overall proportions. Do not use gradients, shadows, photographic shading, gray tones, crosshatching, or unnecessary texture. Create only the tractor artwork itself. Do not include a drawing of the metal plate, screw holes, mounting hardware, border, background, field, barn, garage, scenery, people, or surrounding objects. Final artwork should be pure black on a transparent background and suitable for laser engraving.
Once you have an image you like, upload it into the ENMECA designer. Resize and position the tractor artwork, then add the year, model, farm name, restoration date, or whatever else belongs on your plate.
Upload Your Tractor Artwork →Don't Like How Your Tractor Looks in the Preview?
Send it to us anyway.
Tractor photographs can contain complicated engine components, tire tread, shadows, backgrounds, grass, barns, and other details that don't always translate cleanly into a small engraving.
If your uploaded artwork doesn't look the way you expected, select “Please review and improve my artwork for engraving” in the designer and use the Instructions box to tell us what you'd like changed.
You can ask us to:
- Remove the background
- Clean up the tractor outline
- Simplify complicated mechanical details
- Reduce excessive tire or engine detail
- Improve contrast
- Make the artwork reproduce better when engraved
We'll review your request before engraving.
Start Your Tractor Plate →For a Family Tractor, Consider Recording More Than Specifications
Engine size and model numbers tell you what a tractor is. They don't necessarily tell you why it matters.
If the tractor has been part of your family or farm for decades, consider including some of its history.
Who first purchased or worked the tractor?
Where did the tractor spend its working life?
When did it become part of the family?
How many generations have owned or used it?
Who brought it back and when?
Add a few words that mean something to the family.
Use a QR Code to Preserve an Even Bigger Story
A small stainless steel plate has limited physical space. A QR code can connect the tractor to much more information online.
A QR code could link to:
This can be especially interesting for a show tractor: the plate gives viewers the essential information while the QR code can lead to the complete restoration story.
If a QR code is important to your design, verify the destination carefully and test the finished code with multiple phones.
Made for More Than One Brand of Tractor
This isn't a John Deere-only product. The same blank stainless steel plate can be personalized for tractors from many manufacturers and eras.
John Deere • Farmall • International Harvester • Ford • Fordson • Allis-Chalmers • Massey Ferguson • Oliver • Case • Minneapolis-Moline • and many others
Whether your tractor is a freshly completed restoration, a working machine, a show tractor, or a piece of farm equipment that has been in your family for generations, the plate can be designed around your particular tractor.
How to Create Your Custom Tractor Plate
Identification, specifications, restoration history, family history, artwork—or a combination.
Use text alone, upload existing artwork, or create an illustration of your tractor from a photograph using AI.
Add your text, tractor artwork, farm information, QR code, or other elements.
Resize and position the elements within the 84 mm × 53 mm engraving area.
Verify names, dates, tractor model numbers, specifications, spelling, and QR destinations.
Request an artwork review and use the Instructions box to explain what you'd like us to improve.
The plate measures only 84 mm × 53 mm. Extremely small lettering, thin lines, and highly detailed mechanical illustrations may not reproduce clearly at this size. Keep the most important information prominent and allow enough open space for the design to remain readable.
