Personalized Boat Engraved Metal Info Card – Turn Your Boat Into a Custom Keepsake

Your Boat • Your Water • Your Story

Turn Your Boat Into a Personalized Engraved Metal Info Card

Start with a photograph of the boat you actually own. Turn it into engraving artwork, add specifications and memories, and create a metal card built around your boat.

Create Your Boat Card →

Your boat can become part of your family's story.

It may represent years of fishing trips, summer weekends, vacations, restoration work, days at the lake, time with family and friends, or simply the pride of owning a boat you love.

The ENMECA Personalized Boat Info Card gives you a way to put a little of that story on an engraved metal card approximately the size of a credit card.

And you don't need to find your exact boat in a catalog.

Built Around Your Boat

Start With the Boat You Actually Own

Boats come in an enormous range of sizes, shapes, configurations, and styles. Rather than searching for a generic illustration that happens to resemble yours, start with something better:

A photograph of your actual boat.

Use an AI image tool to turn the photograph into simplified engraving artwork, upload that artwork into the ENMECA designer, and then add the information that makes the boat yours.

Your photograph → Your boat artwork → Your personalized metal card.

Virtually Any Kind of Boat Can Become the Starting Point

The example doesn't need to match your boat. Your own photograph becomes the reference for the artwork.

Fishing Boats
Bass Boats
Pontoon Boats
Center Consoles
Ski Boats
Wake Boats
Runabouts
Speedboats
Cabin Cruisers
Sailboats
Classic Wooden Boats
Restored Boats

Your Boat Doesn't Have to Look Like Our Example

A classic runabout can work. A modern fishing boat can work. A pontoon can work. A wake boat can work. A center-console can work. A sailboat can work.

The photograph determines the boat—not the starting template.

Build the Card Around Three Things

The Boat

Your Boat Artwork

Create an engraving-friendly illustration based on a photograph of the boat you actually own.

The Details

Your Boat Information

Add the year, model, engine, horsepower, length, restoration information, home lake, marina, or other specifications.

The Story

What the Boat Means to You

Add ownership history, restoration dates, favorite trips, family memories, a boat name, or a QR code linking to more.

Two Sides • One Boat

Put the Boat on the Front. Put Its Story on the Back.

Front

Show Your Boat

Feature an engraving illustration of your actual boat and resize or position the artwork to create the layout you want.

Back

Tell Its Story

Add specifications, ownership information, memories, an image, a QR code, or a combination of elements.

What Can You Put on the Back?

There is no required format. The back can preserve technical information, ownership details, boating memories, or a combination of all three.

Boat Name
Year
Make & Model
Engine / Motor
Horsepower
Length
Hull Material
Year Acquired
Restoration History
Home Lake / Marina
Favorite Memory
QR Code
More Than Specifications

Boats Have Stories Too

Sometimes the interesting part isn't the horsepower or hull length.

It's the lake where the kids learned to water ski. The fishing trips that started before sunrise. The boat your parents owned when you were growing up. The restoration that took three winters. Or the boat you've spent every summer enjoying for the last twenty years.

You might record when the boat was purchased, where it has been kept, who restored it, where you've traveled with it, or simply the boat's name and the years it has been part of your family.

The specifications identify the boat. The story explains why it matters.

From Photograph to Engraving

Turn a Photo of Your Actual Boat Into Engraving Artwork With AI

You don't need to know how to draw your boat.

Start with a clear photograph showing most or all of the boat. Upload the photo to an AI image tool that supports reference images, such as ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot, and ask it to convert the boat into simplified artwork designed for small-format laser engraving.

The goal is not photographic detail. The goal is to preserve the hull profile, bow, stern, windshield, cockpit or cabin, motor configuration, rails, tower, and other major features that make your boat recognizable.

AI Prompt for Your Boat
Using the supplied photograph of my boat as the reference, create a simplified laser-engraving-optimized black-and-white illustration of the boat. The final artwork will be engraved approximately 3 inches (75 mm) wide on a credit-card-sized anodized aluminum card, so optimize the design for clarity at a very small physical size. Preserve the recognizable overall proportions and major identifying features of the actual boat in the reference photograph. Accurately retain the hull shape, bow, stern, windshield, cabin or cockpit, rails, tower, motor or engine configuration, seating profile, major trim, and other distinctive features that help identify this specific boat. IMPORTANT: Do not change the boat into a different make, model, style, or type. The supplied photograph determines what kind of boat should be illustrated. Use bold, clean exterior contours and simplified graphic shapes. Reduce complicated mechanical, surface, and hardware detail substantially. Do not reproduce every screw, rope, fitting, reflection, seam, bracket, piece of hardware, engine component, cleat, railing detail, or small decorative feature visible in the photograph. Use negative space generously so the major parts of the boat remain visually separated. Remove any trailer, tow vehicle, dock, people, buildings, trees, grass, marina background, or other scenery from the reference photograph. Show the boat naturally sitting or moving in water. Add only a small amount of simplified water or wake beneath the boat so it clearly appears to be afloat. Keep the water secondary to the boat and avoid excessive wave detail. The artwork must use solid black artwork on a fully transparent background. Do not use grayscale, gradients, photographic shading, reflections, soft shadows, crosshatching, tiny textures, or extremely thin lines. Favor bold graphic contrast over fine realism. Do not include a border, caption, decorative frame, metal card mockup, or unrelated text. If lettering or a boat name is visible in the photograph, omit it unless I specifically ask for it to be included. I can add important text separately in the ENMECA designer. The finished artwork should remain recognizable when reduced to approximately 3 inches wide. Output only the engraving-ready boat illustration with a small amount of simplified water or wake beneath it.

Choosing a Good Photo of Your Boat

You don't need a professional photograph. You just need a reference image that gives the AI a good look at the boat.

Show Most of the Boat

Choose a photograph where the overall hull and major features are clearly visible.

Use a Strong Angle

Side-profile and slightly angled three-quarter views often translate especially well.

It Doesn't Have to Be in the Water

A photo taken on a trailer, in a driveway, at a marina, or during restoration can still work.

Avoid Major Obstructions

Try to avoid photographs where people, equipment, docks, or other objects cover important parts of the boat.

Why the Artwork Should Be Simplified

A photograph may contain hundreds of details that look great on a screen but don't contribute much when the image is engraved only a few inches wide.

Ropes, cleats, hardware, reflections, upholstery seams, railings, windshield details, motor components, water reflections, and background objects can quickly make a small engraving too busy.

Good engraving artwork concentrates on the features that make the boat recognizable:

Hull Profile
Bow & Stern Shape
Windshield
Cabin or Cockpit
Motor Configuration
Tower or Rails
Major Trim Lines
Distinctive Features

The goal isn't to reproduce every fitting. The goal is for someone to look at the engraving and recognize your boat.

Need Help With Your Artwork?

Don't Like How Your Boat Looks in the Preview?

Send it to us anyway.

AI-generated boat artwork doesn't always come out perfectly on the first try. It may leave too much water detail, parts of the trailer or background, excessive hardware, thin lines, or other elements that don't reproduce well at engraving size.

If your uploaded artwork needs work, select “Please review and improve my artwork for engraving” in the ENMECA designer.

Then use the Instructions box to tell us what you'd like improved. For example:

  • Remove the trailer or background
  • Clean up the hull outline
  • Simplify the water or wake
  • Remove excessive hardware detail
  • Reduce thin or cluttered lines
  • Improve contrast
  • Make the artwork reproduce better when engraved

We'll review your request before engraving.

Add a QR Code to Tell the Rest of the Story

A credit-card-sized piece of metal can only hold so much information. A QR code gives you a way to connect the card to something much larger.

• Boat photo gallery
• Restoration photographs
• Fishing trip photos
• Family boating memories
• Video of the boat
• Restoration journal
• Boating club page
• Detailed specifications
• Boat history page
• Personal website

The card can hold the essential information while the QR code connects to the complete story.

If the QR code is important to your design, verify the destination carefully and test the finished code with multiple phones.

A Different Kind of Boating Gift

Make the Gift About Their Actual Boat

A personalized boat card can make a distinctive gift for someone who fishes, restores boats, spends weekends on the lake, belongs to a boating club, or simply loves their boat.

Instead of another generic boating-themed gift, create something based on the boat they actually own.

Add the boat's artwork, name, specifications, home lake, restoration history, favorite memories, or a QR code linking to a gallery of years spent on the water.

A Little Piece of the Boat You Can Carry With You

The anodized aluminum card measures approximately 86 × 54 mm and is 0.8 mm thick—roughly the footprint of a standard credit card.

That makes it easy to keep in a wallet, display with boating memorabilia, bring to a boat show, include with restoration records, or give as a personalized gift.

The boat may spend part of the year at the marina or under winter storage.

A little of its story can stay with you.
